FRANCE. French gourmet food specialist Hédiard opened a boutique in Casablanca, Morocco, in September.
The 600sq m boutique, situated on the Corniche, sells a selection of fresh and gourmet products. A café/restaurant complements the grocery sections.
The firm now has 17 boutiques/café-boutiques outside France.
Hédiard operates in about 40 countries with more than 200 points of sale. The café-boutique concept serves the company’s well-known jams, fruit jellies, iced chestnuts, biscuits, chocolates and marzipan confectionery, all made by the company’s own production facility in the South of France, plus teas and coffee.
