La Prairie aids skin’s recovery mode with new Cellular Power Charge Night

La Prairie’s new Cellular Power Charge Night

La Prairie has followed up the introduction of its Cellular Power Infusion anti-ageing treatment with a new product, Cellular Power Charge Night. It will be launched on 30 January 2012.

The formula combines retinol and oxygen within a unique delivery system which creates a “stunning synergy” between previously incompatible substances, according to the brand. They are said to fortify the skin’s natural renewal functions while it is in “recovery mode”, to deliver a revitalised, smoother, younger-looking complexion.

The addition of activated retinol and an oxygen accelerator builds on the three-dimensional action of Cellular Power Infusion, which boosts the skin’s energy supply, improves cellular communication, and supports the structural rebuilding of skin tissue.

Microencapsulated time-release activated retinol is easily absorbed by the skin, negating the possibility of irritation and dryness, while capitalising on retinol’s well-known resurfacing capability. It is said to act quickly and safely to stimulate natural cell turnover, a critical factor in reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles; increase collagen and elastin production to help restore firmness and elasticity; minimise pores and age spots; and refine the skin’s overall texture.

The oxygen accelerator, which employs the oxygen transfer agent Perfluorodecalin (PFD), reverses oxygen deprivation, a prime contributor to age-related lines and wrinkles and reduced skin vitality, the brand maintains. By supplying an optimum level of this vital element, it intensifies the cell-turnover process stimulated by retinol. It also delivers a surge of “fresh air” to oxygen-depleted skin cells.

The dual-stream delivery system of Cellular Power Charge Night permits the highest potency of each ingredient to be kept separate until the moment of application. The pump bottle holds two separate chambers: one containing white microencapsulated retinol cream; the other a blue oxygen power gel. To use, consumers should depress the pump dispenser, releasing separate product streams to the back or palm of the hand, before blending together with fingertips and then applying to the face and neck.

Other key ingredients include skin renewal peptides, a phyto stem cell extract, Swiss snow algae, a tissue guidance matrix and the brand’s exclusive cellular complex.

La Prairie Cellular Power Charge Night is presented in a 40ml sleek silver pump bottle, with metallic outer packaging and a double-sized window.
