SOUTH KOREA. LVMH-owned skincare brand fresh has marked the debut of its Kombucha Multi-Defense Sheer UV with a high-profile activation on Jeju Island.
The fresh Luminous Journey brought together leading media and beauty influencers, who experienced a curated programme of island-based activities alongside the brand’s latest skincare innovation.

Kombucha Multi-Defense Sheer UV expands the brand’s best-selling Kombucha Facial Treatment Essence, featuring its proprietary antioxidant ingredient: double-fermented kombucha.
Described as a gold-standard antioxidant complex, it is developed through a two-step fermentation of Himalayan-grown tea, producing small yet potent antioxidant molecules that help neutralise environmental aggressors before they visibly affect the skin.
Developed with fermentation-based UV technology, Kombucha UV completes the daily kombucha ritual, aimed at protecting skin from everyday environmental exposure.
The Fresh Luminous Journey began at sunrise with a restorative yoga session focused on renewal. With Kombucha UV protection, guests experienced each movement under the morning sun, while its herbal scent added to the sensory experience.
Alongside SPF protection, the formula is enriched with lingonberry extract to help prevent and repair photodamage, and vitamin C to reduce visible signs of ageing and UV-induced stress.
The lightweight sunscreen works as a barrier against environmental aggressors such as pollution and blue light, while supporting the repair of UV damage and improving skin’s radiance.
Guests also took part in a horseback-riding excursion through ancient forests, moving among patches of sunlight along the route, with the sunscreen helping protect the skin from UVA and UVB rays, free radicals and external stressors.
Using a polysaccharide from microbial fermentation, Kombucha UV’s fermentation-based UV technology binds oil- and water-phase ingredients into a uniform protective network for even application and lightweight UV protection.
The experience extended into sunset with an ocean voyage featuring dolphin sightings, followed by an evening sail to unwind.
