MIDDLE EAST & AFRICA/INTERNATIONAL. The Duty Free World Council (DFWC), in partnership with the Middle East & Africa Duty Free Association (MEADFA), will host a webinar on 10 June at 13.00 CET examining the impact of the Middle East conflict on the global travel sector, including travel retail.
The session comes amid mounting concern across the industry over the operational and commercial implications of the regional crisis, both within the Middle East and internationally.
According to the organisers, the webinar will provide a data-led assessment of the situation, featuring insights from Airports Council International (ACI) World on global and regional air traffic trends, rising fuel costs and availability, and the wider impact on economic conditions and traveller sentiment.
The presentation will also include regional and global industry perspectives on the implications for the duty-free and travel retail industries.
