CHINA. Zhuhai Duty Free Group, through its subsidiary Zhuhai Duty Free Enterprise Group, has captured the concession to manage the arrivals (inbound) duty-free shop at Guangzhou Nansha Passenger Port.
The 31sq m inbound store is located on the first floor of the building.
Last year, the company won the departures duty-free contract at the port. The award maintains Zhuhai Duty Free Group’s expansion in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and comes amid a big commercial upgrade at Guangzhou Nansha Port.
Since its opening in 1992, the port has played a key role in promoting the interconnection between the city clusters in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Its strategic location has made it a vital maritime connection between Hong Kong and Mainland China, serving a steady flow of daily passenger traffic.
In recent years, noted Zhuhai Duty Free in a statement, the port has upgraded its customs clearance processes, enhancing transit efficiency and ensured “a dual foundation of passenger flow and customer experience for the duty-free retail market”.
The port launched smart clearance services in November 2025, enabling eligible residents from the Mainland, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan to pass through smart express lanes using facial recognition.

Data from Nansha Customs showed that the number of inbound and outbound passengers at Guangzhou Nansha Port reached 235,600 in 2025—a year-on-year increase of +47.25% and a five-year high.
Smart processing also reduced the average clearance time during peak holiday travel periods by -45% compared to previous levels, “providing a steady flow of passengers to support the development of the port’s duty-free business”, according to the travel retailer.
In a further positive development, a new policy introduced in June has designated Nansha Port passenger terminal as Guangzhou’s sole entry and exit point for yachts coming from Hong Kong and Macau.
This will “further expand the cross-border service capabilities of the Nansha Port passenger terminal, creating new opportunities for consumer services at the port,” added Zhuhai Duty Free.
Zhuhai Duty Free is building on recent contract gains that include contracts for inbound duty-free shops at Jieyang Chaoshan International Airport, Guilin Liangjiang International Airport (covering both inbound and outbound services), Nanning Wuxu International Airport, Hengqin Port, Manzhouli Road Port and Ganqimaodu Port.
