LATIN AMERICA. Asociación Sudamericana de Tiendas Libres (ASUTIL) has named Germán Barcala (pictured) as Conference Manager.
He replaces Diego de Freitas, who recently stepped away from his role at the Latin American duty-free association after three years of service.
Barcala serves as Director of Rúbrica Event and is a former President of the Uruguayan Events Chamber. He is also on the board of AUDOCA (the Uruguayan Association of Organizers of Congresses, Fairs, Exhibitions and Related Activities).
A statement from ASUTIL today said that Barcala brings “an outstanding track record in the organisation and production of corporate events across Latin America. His experience, ability to build relationships, foster partnerships and create meaningful spaces for dialogue will be essential in supporting the development of the Association’s upcoming initiatives.”
ASUTIL added that Barcala’s experience and reputation in event organisation “will be key to ensuring ASUTIL’s future gatherings continue to be unique, memorable experiences that strengthen the bonds within our entire community”.
