UK. Foreign exchange specialist Travelex has extended a series of key contracts across major UK travel retail and High Street locations. These include Liverpool John Lennon Airport, Edinburgh Airport, DFDS Seaways, the Port of Dover and Selfridges Oxford Street.
At Liverpool John Lennon Airport, Travelex operates two stores and 12 ATMs, offering major currencies alongside pre-ordered travel money collection and its prepaid Travel Money Card.
The contract extension comes as the airport builds on a record year in 2025, when it welcomed 5.6 million passengers – its highest annual total to date.
Travelex has extended its partnership with Edinburgh Airport until 2030. The foreign exchange specialist launched at the Scottish gateway in 2021 and now operates five stores, a mobile kiosk and 12 ATMs across airside and landside locations in arrivals and departures.
In addition, the company is strengthening its maritime footprint through renewed agreements with DFDS Seaways and the Port of Dover.
Under the DFDS partnership, Travelex will operate euro and pound sterling ATMs onboard six vessels serving routes between Dover and Calais or Dunkirk.
At the Port of Dover, the company operates a store within the Eastern Docks Passenger Services Building.

Liverpool John Lennon Airport Commercial Director Lucy O’ Shaughnessy said, “Convenient access to purchase all major currencies remains a key part of the airport offer for our passengers, and we are therefore delighted to extend our longstanding agreement with Travelex.”
Edinburgh Airport Head of Retail Linsey Jordan said: “We want passengers to enjoy a smooth and stress-free start to their journey and having convenient access to foreign currency plays an important role in that. Travelex continues to deliver for our passengers, and we’re delighted to extend our partnership.”
The Selfridges’ partnership is one of several relationships Travelex has with High Street retail destinations across the UK. Recent years have seen the demand for pre-trip foreign exchange grow with 92% of people in the UK now purchasing travel money before their journey, according to the Travelex Travel Money Report.
