The Sekonda Smart Ring combines health and wellbeing tracking with a stainless-steel design and a subscription-free model

Sekonda has expanded its wearable technology portfolio with the launch of its first Smart Ring, combining health-tracking capabilities with a jewellery-inspired design.

It launched both in travel retail and domestic markets today (21 September).

The Smart Ring tracks a range of health and wellbeing indicators throughout the day and night, including sleep quality, heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen levels, stress signals and skin temperature trends, alongside women’s cycle tracking.

It is made in stainless steel and is available in gold and silver finishes, six sizes and with a retail price of £79.99 (US$107).

Unlike other wearable tech options in the market, it does not require a monthly subscription. Additionally, user data can be synchronised with Apple Health and Health Connect.

The Smart Ring offers a battery life of between five to seven days and water resistance to a depth of 50m. Each product comes with a charging case, USB charging cable and silicone protective cover for use during weight training, manual work and other high-impact activities.

According to Sekonda, the smart ring category is projected to grow +29% by 2034 (source: Fortune Business Insight).

Sekonda CEO Pete Ogley commented, “We’re seeing growing demand for wearable technology that fits effortlessly into people’s lives.

“The Sekonda Smart Ring offers health insights in a beautiful, discreet piece of jewellery, without the premium price tag or ongoing subscription. It is wellness made simple.”

Each ring is supplied with a charging case, USB cable and silicone protective cover
