Generation Research and Beauté Research combine to create greater value for beauty industry

Swedish travel retail market research firm Generation Research has joined beauty market intelligence company Beauté Research, establishing a unified global platform for prestige beauty market data and insights.

Generation Research brings more than 40 years of market expertise to the integration, while Beauté Research contributes its specialisation in Asian beauty markets.

Together, the businesses will provide the industry with a more extensive global view of the prestige beauty and cosmetics sector across all key global travel retail regions, as well as domestic markets across Asia, including the rapidly growing Indian market.

Beauté Research Chief Executive Officer Jean-Marc Schonbach said: “We are excited to combine our capabilities to create greater value for beauty industry. We are now able to offer broader coverage and improved market intelligence, particularly across global travel retail.”

The two businesses complement each other across geographic reach, market expertise, data capabilities and category knowledge, creating a broader and deeper view of prestige beauty markets and channels.

The combined capabilities will also cover categories beyond beauty, including spirits & wine, tobacco, confectionery & fine food, fashion & accessories, watches & jewellery, consumers electronics, and gifts, among others.

Generation Research Chief Executive Officer Sébastien Van Vyve added, “By combining Generation Research’s global travel retail expertise with Beauté Research’s deep knowledge of domestic markets, we can give brands a broader, more connected view of the duty-free landscape and help them make better-informed strategic decisions.”

The partners said they will continue working with retailers, operators, brands and other industry stakeholders to enhance the shared data ecosystem and continuously improve market estimates.
