UK. Belfast City Airport is to host this year’s edition of the ‘That’s the Spirit’ campaign from 15 October to 1 November, in partnership with World Duty Free, spotlighting Northern Ireland spirits brands for international audiences.

The activation will showcase the craft and heritage of regional producers, including Jawbox Gin, Basalt, Copeland and McConnell’s, through product sampling and opportunities for passengers to meet the makers behind the brands.

Belfast City Airport Head of Commercial Caroline Rowan said: “As an airport rooted in the heart of Northern Ireland, we are committed to celebrating the exceptional producers who are elevating Northern Ireland’s reputation on the global distilling stage.

“That’s the Spirit is about giving passengers a genuine taste of home through the craftsmanship and character that define our local distillers.

“We are excited to welcome a range of distillery brands this year, each bringing their own story and spirit to the terminal.”

Participating brands will offer tastings at World Duty Free and the Aspire Lounge throughout the week, complemented by exclusive promotions at The Artisan and Samson’s Kitchen and Bar.

Brand representatives will be available to guide passengers through the tastings, offering insights into the flavour profiles and production methods behind each bottle.

Rowan continued: “Here at Belfast City Airport, we’re proud to champion the outstanding local products we stock, and this initiative allows us to celebrate the distillers who pour passion into every batch.

“We look forward to welcoming those travelling through the airport to join us in October as we raise a glass to Northern Ireland’s world-class spirits.”

The featured Northern Ireland-made spirits, including gin, whiskey, vodka, rum and liqueurs, will be available to purchase at World Duty Free.

Jawbox Gin Founder Gerry White said: “It’s fantastic to be returning to Belfast City Airport for the second year of ‘That’s the Spirit’, following the success of last year’s campaign.

“It’s a brilliant platform for celebrating the quality, creativity and provenance of Northern Ireland’s growing spirits sector, while giving travellers the chance to discover the stories behind the brands being made here.

“At Jawbox, quality, craftsmanship and tradition are at the heart of everything we do. Triple-distilled in small batches at our distillery just outside Belfast, our award-winning gin is rooted in Belfast’s rich industrial heritage and made with genuine character. Jawbox is a gin made to be shared, enjoyed and celebrated in good company.

“Being part of ‘That’s the Spirit’ again allows us to build on the connections made through last year’s campaign, introduce even more travellers to Jawbox and give them the opportunity to take a taste of Northern Ireland with them.” ✈
