Taylor’s Port, one of four brands within the family-owned and managed Fladgate Partnership, has expanded its large-format portfolio with the launch of ‘V’.
Priced at RRP €120 (US$134), the latest 5-litre expression builds on the success of the brand’s previous large-format releases to raise visibility for the Port category.

The new bottle takes its visual cues from the historic 4XX merchant mark, a distinctive symbol of the Taylor’s house. Its name references the Roman numeral for five and the five elements that shape the wine, bringing the brand’s heritage into a contemporary Douro Port presentation.

Beyond its reference to five, ‘V’ evokes victory, vigour and volume, reflecting the scale of the 5-litre bottle and its intended role at social gatherings.

The wine’s character reflects five key elements: vines with deep roots that absorb the minerality from the soil; six selected Douro grape varieties; the leading Douro winemaker’s expertise; the combination of sun, rain and temperature; and the blenders’ expertise in developing a fruity, fresh and complex Port.
Taylor’s Reserve Ruby features a deep ruby-red colour with a garnet rim, an intense black-fruit nose and a full-bodied palate marked by robust fruit flavours and a long finish. ✈
