ASIA PACIFIC. The Airport Food & Beverage Report, a research study to be published soon by The Moodie Davitt Report and partner tRetailLabs, sheds light on key airports’ food & beverage profile, cuisine variety, formats and consumer insights, among other factors that drive traveller engagement and spend.
In Asia, Singapore Changi Airport has among the most varied of cuisines of any airport, with 41% offering multiple types of food.
Some 10% of Changi menus feature a Chinese offer and 8% provide Japanese cuisine, underlining the diverse array of options available. Some 9% Changi’s F&B establishments exclusively feature a Singaporean menu.

Incheon International Airport in South Korea strikes a local/international balance with one-third of its F&B outlets dedicated to Korean cuisine, another third offering a variety of cuisines, and 20% featuring ‘American-style’ menus.
By contrast, 48% of F&B outlets at Tokyo Haneda Airport exclusively offer Japanese cuisine, demonstrating a strong commitment to promoting the rich and diverse food culture of Japan. This also reflects the attraction of Japanese food in landside areas as well as airside.
The upcoming Asia Regional Airport F&B Report promises deeper insights into the airport culinary landscape at these locations and region-wide.
Exploring the mix of cuisines and outlet types is a vital element in understanding the F&B landscape at key airports, and is just one part of the methodology The Moodie Davitt Report and tRetailLabs are applying in these Airport Food & Beverage Reports.
