ABM wins key passenger experience role at Edinburgh Airport as partnership deepens

UK. Facility, engineering, transport and infrastructure solutions company ABM has strengthened its long-standing relationship with Edinburgh Airport after securing a passenger experience contract at Scotland’s busiest gateway.

Under the new agreement, which is already in force, ABM’s Experience Solutions division is delivering front-of-house assistance, wayfinding, security preparation guidance and onward travel support, alongside operational roles including queue management and disruption handling.

The contract extends ABM’s 15-year presence at the airport and signals a broader commitment by the operator to enhance front-line passenger engagement as traffic approaches 17 million annually.

The award also advances the roll-out of ABM’s Performance Solutions model, its integrated facilities services approach aimed at driving operational efficiency and service consistency.

The remit spans both landside and airside environments, with a particular focus on smoothing pressure points such as immigration and international arrivals.

The appointment brings ABM’s total headcount at Edinburgh Airport to nearly 200, spanning travel retail support, passenger experience services and terminal cleaning.

ABM Vice President, Transport & Aviation Kelly Parish said, “Creating positive, memorable airport experiences is critical to every service we provide, every day across 75 airports, supporting millions of passengers.

“This contract will see our team members becoming the friendly face of the airport – embodying the Edinburgh personality to ensure that everyone is met with knowledgeable, people-focused support at all touch points.”

Edinburgh Airport Head of Service Delivery & Transformation Myles Grima commented, “ABM’s ability to deliver a fully integrated service that combines operational expertise with a strong focus on passenger support, ensures we can maintain a welcoming, efficient and well-managed environment for the millions of people who travel through our airport each year.

“This appointment reflects our confidence in ABM’s capability to scale services while continuing to support the smooth running of a busy international gateway.”
