INTERNATIONAL. Airports Council International (ACI) World has marked UN World Day Against Trafficking in Persons through its awareness and training programme titled ‘Combating Human Trafficking.’
The organisation is promoting a comprehensive approach to the problem that involves coordination with airports, airlines and law enforcement agencies.

The programme highlights issues and challenges that airport operators face in terms of human trafficking. It seeks to combat this global crime by training all airport staff to learn how to recognise and deal with trafficking situations at airports.
The course is provided to the global civil aviation community free of charge, courtesy of ACI in partnership with Ceventas. ACI World is encouraging all airport personnel including airside, terminal and landside staff, as well as service providers that operate at the airport, to sign up for this programme.
This course includes an integrated online assessment and candidates who successfully finish this will receive a Certificate of Completion.
The World Day Against Trafficking in Persons is commemorated annually on 30 July to raise awareness about this global issue and protect the rights of trafficking victims.✈
