Aéroports de Paris to offer light relief – 11/12/07

AdP aims to beat passengers’ winter blues with light therapy technology

FRANCE. Aéroports de Paris has announced that from 20 December it will offer passengers a free introductory light therapy session to help them restore stamina levels before taking off.

Designed to help passengers fend off jet lag and winter blues, the programme offered by Aéroports de Paris boutiques will consist of fixed light therapy areas as well as mobile teams for “˜express’ sessions.

Passengers will be able to trial the new wellbeing experience at Paris Charles de Gaulle terminal 2E and Orly West.

Light therapy experts will meet passengers in boarding lounges and invite them to test out the technology as well as offering informational booklets. At the same time, light therapy lamps will be available for passengers in the Galerie Parisienne and Be Relax sales points.

From January 2008, light therapy will be available in Aéroports de Paris boutiques and at Paris Charles de Gaulle through the airport’s Be Relax sales points, which will offer anti-jet lag massages and light therapy products.

Aéroports de Paris Deputy CEO François Rubichon noted: “This year, 4.2 million passengers will go through Paris airports during Christmas holidays. This year, boutiques Aéroports de Paris has decided to offer them sunshine in winter. This new complimentary and unique service has been made possible thanks to the mobilisation of our 80 concessionaires.”
