American Express becomes Platinum Sponsor of The Trinity Forum

SOUTH KOREA. American Express Foreign Exchange has confirmed its Platinum Sponsor role at The Trinity Forum to be held in Seoul on 13-15 February 2012.

Announcing its Platinum Sponsorship, the company said: “American Express Foreign Exchange is delighted to support The Trinity Forum 2012 in Seoul. We are fully supportive of the “˜Trinity’ principles of greater engagement and understanding between industry stakeholders in the ultimate interests of all parties, including of course the travelling consumer.”

Helen Grace, American Express Foreign Exchange Services Vice President Business Development, International Airports, will give a presentation at the event.

As interest in the Trinity Forum builds, an increasing number of sponsors are lending their support to the event. The Estée Lauder Companies are Gold Sponsors, while Bacardi Global Travel Retail has agreed to sponsor the Opening Cocktail.

Coffee breaks will be sponsored by Ferrero, Nestlé International Travel Retail and Montblanc, and leading retailer DFS will host lunch on the first day of the conference. Delegate bags will be provided by Kipling. Two more major sponsorship agreements will be announced in coming days.

As always the speakers’ line-up includes many top names from each element of the “˜Trinity’ – airports, concessionaires and brands. YS Choi, President of Lotte Duty Free and one of the great pioneers of Asian travel retail, will speak on day 1, as will Aer Rianta International CEO Jack Macgowan.

Among the highlights of the programme are an Airport CEOs panel discussion to be held on the opening morning, in which a line-up of influential airport heads will discuss the future for non-aeronautical revenues.

Senior speakers from a diverse range of travel retailers and other operators – among them World Duty Free Group, Qatar Duty Free, The Nuance Group, IDFS (India), The Shilla Duty Free, SSP, King Power Group (HK) and LS travel retail ASPAC – will address the issues that matter to the industry and that will shape its future, such as the role of social and digital media.

An equally strong line-up of airport and brand executives is promised.

Speakers from the airports sector include Dr Young-Geun Lee, Executive Vice President, Incheon International Airport Corporation; Muriel Zingraff-Shariff, Retail Concessions Director, London Heathrow Airport; Mohammed Al Bulooki, Chief Commercial Officer, Abu Dhabi Airports Company;Otto Ambagtsheer, Schiphol Group Managing Director Business Area Consumers; and Keith Hunter from Qatar Duty Free (Doha International Airport).

Brand interests are well represented by TFWA President Erik Juul-Mortensen plus in a unique tripartite presentation entitled ‘A Beautiful Vision’ Uwe Faber-Billot, Global Category Manager, P&G Prestige; Roland Stieger, Head of Sales, Nestlé International Travel Retail; and Jane Ewing, Managing Director, Diageo Global Travel Retail & Middle East.
