Amman Queen Alia Airport sets record monthly traffic in August with 1.08 million passengers

JORDAN. Amman Queen Alia International Airport reported its busiest month on record in August, with passenger numbers up +12.2% to hit 1.08 million, according to Airport International Group (AIG).

The airport company recorded 8,380 flight movements during the month, a sharp +11.5% increase.

Passenger traffic from January to August climbed +6.6% to reach 6,467,788, compared to the same eight-month period in 2024.

Airport International Group CEO Nicolas Deviller said, “August 2025 marked the busiest August in QAIA’s history, reflecting continued growth despite regional challenges.

“This achievement was fuelled by the return of expatriates during the summer holidays, further cementing QAIA’s role as Jordan’s prime gateway to the world.

“The steady rise in passenger traffic highlights the airport’s resilience and growing appeal while reaffirming our dedication to providing a seamless travel experience that feels like home.

“Moving forward, we will continue to expand connectivity, enhance infrastructure and uphold QAIA’s standing as a regional leader in passenger satisfaction.”
