Avolta boosts King Khalid International Airport dining mix with fresh F&B concepts

Urth Caffé lands its first airport location outside the USA, bringing a fresh boost to the airport’s dining scene

SAUDI ARABIA. Market leader Avolta has extended its dining footprint at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh with an additional six outlets in the last four months, bringing its total to 16 concepts within 16 months of entering the Saudi market.

The initiative reinforces the company’s established market presence while advancing its growth strategy in Saudi Arabia.

The refreshed line-up strengthens the airport’s food & beverage mix, combining global brands with regional concepts. Offerings range from quick-service and grab-and-go formats to a hybrid Hudson Café, expanding traveller options.

A standout feature is The Oasis Food Court, inspired by Riyadh’s desert landscape. Sculptural metallic trees shape the seating zones, creating a distinctive environment designed to manage high passenger volumes while ensuring traveller comfort.

The food court offers a mix of fast food, Arabic cuisine and international classics, alongside live cooking experiences such as shawarma skewers and grill stations, adding a touch of Arabic culinary tradition to the airport environment.

Another highlight is the debut of Californian brand Urth Caffé’s first airport location outside the USA, introducing its signature premium, health-focused offering to travellers.

Avolta President and CEO Europe, Middle East and Africa Luis Marin said, “Our growth at King Khalid International Airport reflects close coordination with our airport partner and disciplined work by our local team.

“This latest development has strengthened the offer for travellers and expanded our presence in Saudi Arabia. We recognise the wider situation in the Middle East and are especially grateful to the teams delivering this work on the ground.”
