AUSTRALIA. Perth Airport’s duty free provider Avolta has partnered with Australian retailer JB Hi-Fi to open a tax free shopping space offering consumer electronics and technology products in Perth Airport’s international Terminal 1.
The space is close to the entrance of a Dufry duty free store and is staffed by a JB Hi-Fi team.

JB Hi-Fi’s latest venture in the travel space follows its first foray into airport retail with LagardèreAWPL’s Aelia Duty Free at Auckland and Christchurch airports earlier this year.
Perth Airport Acting Chief Commercial Officer Rebecca Cook said: “Perth Airport is focused on giving our customers a world-class experience. The JB Hi-Fi brand is well-known for offering value across a vast range of leading electronics brands so it’s great to be able to offer their products to passengers when travelling to and from Perth.
“We’ve worked alongside our global retail partner Avolta for a number of years, and it is exciting to see the retail options available to our passengers being continually enhanced and expanded.”
Avolta GM Australia Philippe Boyer commented: “We welcome JB Hi-Fi to the Avolta family. With their strong product assortment and exceptional service model, we know that our passengers will be delighted with this most recent addition to our offering.”
