Ayaz Furniturewalla: Strong background in the travel retail channel |
The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. has named Ayaz Furniturewalla as Vice President/General Manager, Bobbi Brown, Jo Malone London & Tom Ford Beauty, Travel Retail Worldwide. The move was effective from 1 September. Furniturewalla will report to President, Travel Retail Worldwide Olivier Bottrie.
In 2013 Furniturewalla joined The Estée Lauder Companies’ Travel Retail division as Vice President/General Manager for Aramis and Designer Fragrances, Origins and Good Skin Labs. The company said he was “ideally qualified to lead this portfolio of brands in travel retail given his extensive marketing and sales skills as well as his multi-category and cross-functional background gained while living and working in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North America”.
Prior to The Estée Lauder Companies, Furniturewalla held a number of senior positions in travel retail with Elizabeth Arden, including Vice President, Global Travel Retail and South East Asia/India Distributors, and General Manager, Asia Pacific and Middle East Travel Retail and Distributor Markets.
Furniturewalla holds a Bachelor of Science, Marketing degree from Rutgers University and earned an MBA in Finance and International Business from New York University.
