BAA USA wins recognition for its food & beverage and speciality retail offers at Baltimore and Boston airports – 05/12/08

US. BAA USA has received three national awards for its concessions programmes at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport and Boston Logan International Airport in the 2008 Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA) Excellence in Airport Concessions Contest.

BAA USA is the developer of the Airmalls at these two airports, as well as those at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport and Pittsburgh International Airport.

The Airmall at Baltimore/Washington International received a second-place award for Best Food and Beverage Program (Large Airport). Philadelphia International Airport won first-place for B/C Connector, its main retail hub.

The Airmall at Boston Logan International garnered a third-place accolade for Best Food and Beverage Program in Terminal B (Large Airport) as well as an Honourable Mention for Best Specialty Retail Program in Terminal B (Large Airport).

The ACI-NA Excellence in Airport Concessions Contest aims to inspire creativity in the industry and recognise innovation. An independent panel of high-level professionals served as judges for the awards contest. Judges reviewed more than 120 entries from airports of all sizes throughout the US and Canada.
