SOUTH KOREA. Pernod Ricard-owned Scotch whisky brand Ballantine’s is giving travellers at two South Korean airports the chance to watch this year’s Ballantine’s Golf Championship live, as well as the exclusive opportunity to win a place in the event’s pro-am tournament.
Travellers who purchase a bottle of Ballantine’s 30yo at Incheon International and Jeju airports receive an exclusive invitation pack, which details how to enter the prize draw to win one of three places to participate in the Championship’s pro-am tournament. The winners will dine with the star player at the event’s gala dinner.
Ballantine’s has installed eye-catching in-store displays to raise awareness of the 2010 Championship and the offer available with Ballantine’s 30yo.
The displays will be in place throughout January and February in Incheon International Airport, and throughout January in Jeju.
“Ballantine’s has a long-standing association with golf, and this latest promotion is designed to celebrate the forthcoming Championship and underline the brand’s premium cues,” said Chivas Brothers Regional Director Robin Johnston.
“We have already had a high level of interest in the brand and the Championship as a result.”
