Kilbeggan 8yo, made from 100% corn, is said to be Ireland’s only aged single grain whiskey |
Beam Suntory is introducing Kilbeggan 8yo Single Grain Irish Whiskey across European travel retail this month to tap into the category’s strong growth in the channel.
A premium expression made from 100% corn, Kilbeggan 8yo Single Grain is said to be Ireland’s only aged single grain whiskey and an older cousin of the original blend.
This grain whiskey is distilled in column stills and matured for eight years in ex-bourbon barrels in the distillery’s 250-year old warehouses, resulting in a “versatile, soft and subtly sweet” expression.
“Kilbeggan 8yo Single Grain is a valuable and unique addition to the range and follows the successful release of Kilbeggan 21yo,” said Beam Suntory Global Travel Retail Marketing Director Michael Cockram.
“Given the strong and continued growth in Irish whiskey, the launch allows retailers to broaden their offering within the category and capitalise on the demand amongst travellers, giving them the opportunity to experience a premium expression within this acclaimed portfolio,” he added.
Kilbeggan 8yo Single Grain (abv40%) is available in 70cl bottles and is distributed by Maxxium Travel Retail in European travel retail.
