DENMARK. Belvédère Duty Free says it will unveil the “next evolutionary step in packaging” with the launch of its new Danzka Vodka aluminium bottle at this year’s TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes.
“We call it a design evolution because we maintain the best of Danzka Vodka’s fabulous packaging but take the already elegant lines well into the 21st century,” explained Belvédère Duty Free Managing Director Wojtek Wydro. The new pack will hit the shelves in Spring 2010 and will be unveiled for the first time in Cannes next month.
“We will also be launching an elegant miniature 4x50ml Danzka Vodka gift pack, ideal as a gift or as a travel companion,” he said.
Despite the economic downturn over the past year, Belvédère Duty Free has continued to add new listings for its core Danzka Vodkas, expanding throughout Central America duty free and a number of domestic markets in Latin America, including Peru. Asia has also become a very important market, the company said.
“Asia has been a particular bright spot for Danzka Vodka over the past year,” said Belvédère Duty Free Sales Director Torben Vedel Andersen.

“Since May 2008, Danzka Vodka has become available in India, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, Laos, Taiwan and Mongolia. Danzka Vodka is doing very well in Bangkok, Seoul and Kuala Lumpur airports. Danzka Vodka is a very duty free-driven business and these listings are very important to the development of the brand in this part of the world,” he added.
Belvédère Duty Free will be displaying its full range of products and will reveal its new upgraded packaging for Danzka Vodka in Cannes (Stand number: Green Village H52).
