HUNGARY. Budapest Airport and its media partner, news and analysis website anna.aero, are inviting runners from the aviation community to participate in its charity Runway Run.
The “˜Race to Find the Fastest Aviation runners in the World’ offers employees from airlines, airports and aviation enterprises an opportunity to run on Budapest Airport’s major 13R-31L runway to raise money for children’s and cancer charities.

Entrants can compete for the Golden Cake Trophies that include titles such as Fastest Male/Female Runner, Fastest Airport Team, Fastest Airline CEO (male/female), Fastest Airport CEO (male/female), Fastest Aviation Media Team, Fastest Airport Concessionaire Team and Fastest Airline Team.
All competitors receive “˜The Bron Medal’ named after Brontë Hogan, the anna.aero Publisher’s daughter who lost her five-year battle with Leukaemia in 2011 at the age of 12.

Budapest Airport CEO Jost Lammers said: “The support and involvement we experienced at last year’s run was overwhelming. With the aviation community coming together in aid of some truly great causes, we were proud to host such a successful event. We implore our partners and air transport leaders everywhere to join us again this year at what is proving to be the next great, must-be-at aviation event.”
The two 10km and 5km races take place on 5 September 2015 and all entry fees go to charity.
