Cartier and CDFG spotlight Shenzhen in relocated Bao’an International Airport boutique

CHINA. Cartier has opened a relocated boutique at Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport in partnership with China Duty Free Group (CDFG).

The redesigned store, which opened today (19 August), is located at the heart of the domestic departures hall in Terminal 3.

Featuring jewellery, watches, leathergoods, fragrances and accessories collections, the boutique combines signature Cartier design codes with architectural and decorative elements inspired by Shenzhen and its dynamic urban landscape.

A focal point of the design is a straw marquetry feature wall depicting the Shenzhen skyline alongside Cartier’s emblematic panther.

A champagne-gold façade features fluid, undulating patterns that reference the coastal city’s connection with the sea. Inside, warm wood detailing and gold finishes create a luxury atmosphere that celebrate the city’s balance of nature and modernity. Wave motifs further reference the city’s coastal identity and its forward-looking spirit.

A dedicated consultation area provides an intimate space for personalised client interactions.

“The redesigned airport boutique highlights the strength of collaboration between Cartier and China Duty Free Group, a partnership grounded in a shared commitment to delivering exceptional client service,” commented China Duty Free Group Vice President Michelle Sun.

“By blending local elements with the Maison’s signature codes, our airport boutiques offer a distinct sense of place, and we continue to celebrate this diversity with travellers every time they step into the Cartier universe.”
