Today was a red-letter day for China Duty Free Group as the travel retailer officially unveiled its departures and arrivals duty-free stores at Beijing’s premier gateway with a richly atmospheric opening ceremony.
The collaboration with respected drinks industry veteran Jean-Philippe Aucher’s agency leverages extensive channel expertise and established relationships, aiming to reinforce the brand’s presence in a channel central to premium spirits growth.
Spanning multiple categories, TREX shines a spotlight on products, campaigns and collaborations that deliver unique, channel-specific value to travellers.
“We have admired these exceptional wines for many years and believe that travel retail operators will be very supportive of this range,” says Duty Free Global Founder Barry Geoghegan.
Launched in October, the collection comprises 13, 16 and 19 Year Old single malts at 43%, 46% and 47% ABV respectively, all finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.
The long-term partnership will enable the premium spirits distributor to represent CVH Spirits’ portfolio in the region, including Bunnahabhain, Deanston and Tobermory.
In response to the updated downtown duty-free store policy, CNSC’s Hangzhou Store has brought duty-free shopping to the city’s commercial core, serving both domestic and international travellers.
