JAPAN. Chubu International Airport (Centrair) in Nagoya posted a +14% year-on-year rise in international passenger numbers in January, according to Travel Journal International (TJI) Online*.
The Chubu International Airport Authority reported that international passengers for the month totalled 428,800. A total of 879,000 passengers, including domestic, used the airport in January, a rise of +2%.
While the total number of aircraft movements fell -15% to 8,897, international routes showed a big increase. There were some 3,130 international flights, up by +55% year-on-year.
