SINGAPORE. Singapore Changi Airport will be offering more than 600 supplementary flights to China during the Lunar New Year travel period. This is more than double the amount during the same period in 2025.
Between 1 February and 8 March, six airlines will operate additional services to 15 Chinese cities. The expanded flight schedule reflects strong travel demand during the Lunar New Year holiday period, supported by mutual visa-free travel arrangements between Singapore and China.
Singapore is currently connected to 37 cities in China, one of the top outbound holiday markets for Singapore travellers. The additional flights are expected to support peak seasonal demand in both directions, offering increased capacity and scheduling flexibility.
The supplementary flights will be operated by Air China, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Loong Air, Spring Airlines and Xiamen Airlines, providing a mix of destinations and price points.
Air China, China Eastern and Xiamen Airlines will each operate more than 140 additional flights during the period.

Destinations include Changsha, Chengdu, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Hefei, Nanchang, Nanjing, Ningbo, Shanghai, Wenzhou, Wuhan, Xi’an, Xiamen and Zhengzhou.
It marks the first time airlines are operating supplementary flights during the Lunar New Year holiday to Nanchang, Ningbo, Wenzhou, Wuhan and Zhengzhou.
In addition, Changi Airport will introduce extended operating hours and enhanced services during the festive period.
These include extended early check-in at terminals 1 and 3, 24/7 operations at the Changi Lounge with buffet service, and extended hours for Jewel Rain Vortex until midnight.

Changi Airport Group Executive Vice President for Air Hub and Cargo Development Lim Ching Kiat commented, “The doubling of flight capacity between China and Singapore this Lunar New Year reflects the strong travel demand we continue to see between China and Singapore, as well as the close partnerships we have built with our airline partners.
“The extended services, including to several cities receiving supplementary flights for the first time, will further strengthen Singapore’s position as a key gateway to China. They will also provide travellers more options to visit friends and relatives in Singapore and China during the period.” ✈
