SINGAPORE. Changi Airport Group (CAG) has launched an ambitious redevelopment programme of the former Commercially Important Persons (CIP) terminal, integrating premium lifestyle and dining concepts in partnership with Plaza Premium Group.

Located at the southern node of Terminal 2, the revamp will introduce a new amenities cluster connected to the Hub & Spoke, with opening targeted for mid-2027.

Exclusivity and convenience are integral to the private terminal, reinforced by a growing suite of premium traveller experiences

Through its collaboration with the global airport hospitality provider, the concept will centre on a fully personalised journey, enabling passengers to pause and recharge in an exclusive space while providing convenient transfers to boarding gates and retail access at Changi Airport.

Highlights of the private terminal include a deluxe lounge, bar, private suites and bespoke dining, alongside a premium event space designed for larger entourages and private gatherings.

Fresh dining concepts, alongside wellness and pet-friendly facilities, will be integrated into the expanded Hub & Spoke amenities cluster, centred around Changi’s first covered amphitheatre and an open-air plaza for intimate to mid-scale events.

CAG Senior Vice President, Airport Operations Development and Airport Operations Services Ang Siew Min said: “Some of today’s travellers seek more than just a comfortable place to spend time before their flight – they are after a personalised premium experience.

“CAG is meeting this demand with an upgraded private terminal that delivers an exceptional experience. In addition, a curated selection of dining and wellness offerings awaits just steps from the private terminal, further enriching the suite of options available to our passengers.”

PPG Chief Transformation Officer Mei Mei Song added: “As we join hands with CAG on the development and operations of this pioneering private terminal, PPG is committed to delivering a consistently elevated end-to-end experience for premium travellers at Changi Airport.

“By bringing together our global expertise in airport hospitality with Changi’s renowned operational excellence, we will offer a new benchmark in personalised, seamless and bespoke services for our discerning guests.”
