SINGAPORE. Changi Airport Group has revealed Korrawan Wangsathaporn, a Thai businesswoman, as the August finalist of its “˜Be a Changi Millionaire’ draw. She now stands a one-in-seven chance of winning the grand prize of a million dollars in cash.
In August Wangsathaporn made her first trip to Singapore with her daughter – the vacation is said to be the latter’s way of making up for the short time she spent with her mother during Mother’s Day.

Korrawan Wangsathaporn, a 51-year-old Thai businesswoman, now stands a one-in-seven chance of winning the grand prize of a million dollars in cash |
Before boarding her Thai Airways flight back home, Wangsathaporn made her winning purchases, which included some L’Occitane skin care products and a Lancôme lipstick worth over S$200 from the Nuance-Watson Asia-operated Perfumes and Cosmetics store. She also bought sunglasses and other cosmetic products.
Wangsathaporn said that she was impressed by the wide variety of items and the extensive food & beverage choices available at Changi Airport, and cited the great price savings as one of the reasons she liked shopping at the airport.
In January next year, Wangsathaporn will join Singaporeans Ms Toh Min Keow and Mr Teo Teck Seng, Australia-based Filipina Ms Lira Wilson, and three other finalists in the Grand Draw to vie for the one million dollar prize. As finalists for the Millionaire draw, they each win S$5,000 in cash plus return airfare to Singapore with a three day/two night stay in a luxury hotel.
Should she win the grand prize, Wangsathaporn intends to donate part of the money to charity and use the rest for her children’s education.
In addition to the monthly winner, four other lucky shoppers – including three Singaporeans and one Indonesian – were also picked as the weekly winners, winning for themselves S$1,000 each. Winning purchases included a S$110 Pasta De Waraku meal at Terminal 2 and an Apple MacBook Air worth about S$2,000 from the iStudio store at Terminal 3 Departure Transit Lounge.
