SINGAPORE. Changi Airport Group (CAG) is seeking partners for four new luxury retail concessions and an open category shop concession at Singapore Changi Airport. The opportunities are in terminals 2 and 3 respectively.
With a tenancy term of 3.5 years and commencement dates to be staggered and linked to the phased reopening of Terminal 2 during 2022, the luxury concession spaces available range between 114sq m to 126.5sq m.
The Open Category Shop Concession will occupy 53.2sq m, again with a 3.5 year contract term, with an opening date of 1 January 2023.

In the specification given for the retail opportunities, the airport company said it is looking for established brands that will differentiate the offering across the two terminals.
CAG has just announced that the first phase of operations in Singapore Changi T2 will resume on 29 May, as it prepares for an expected increase in passenger traffic in the months ahead.

T2 has been closed for upgrading works since May 2020. When completed by 2024, the expansion will raise the terminal’s capacity by five million to 28 million passenger movements per year.
CAG Executive Vice President of Airport Management Tan Lye Teck said: “CAG is encouraged to see the strong pickup in travel demand and has worked closely with our partners to bring forward the progressive reopening of T2 ahead of the June travel peak to meet this demand.
“The start of flight operations at T2 will provide more capacity to support our airline partners, who are also gearing up to serve more passengers in the months ahead. T2 will reopen in phases over the next two years to support Changi’s recovery as a regional air hub.”
