Changing of the guard at Bristol International Airport as World Duty Free takes over from The Nuance Group – 02/11/09

UK. WDF, trading under the World Duty Free banner, took over the main tax & duty free store at Bristol International Airport this morning from long-time tenant The Nuance Group.

WDF said the new store will underline its commitment to delivering “unbeatable value, outstanding product choice, exciting store environments and world-class customer service”.

A core project team and volunteers from the business worked through the night to change all the systems, install new, temporary signage and marketing materials and restock the shelves with approximately 44,000 units of 5,500 products.

WDF CEO Mark Riches told The Moodie Report that he was delighted with the nature of the handover from the former retailer. “I would like to say how helpful and professional Nuance was and how supportive and proactive the airport was. These changes are always very difficult but everyone from all sides worked hard to ensure the travel retail customer was not disrupted.

“We have the new livery in place and the store looks fantastic.”
