Choya to make its first ever appearance at TFWA Asia Pacific

Choya will be exhibiting for the first time this year at the TFWA Asia Pacific exhibition in Singapore this month (stand number: N201).

The Osaka-based liqueur specialist is known for its umeshu, the traditional Japanese ume-fruit liqueur.

Made with ume fruit and 100% natural ingredients, umeshu has a sweet, tart taste with an aroma that hints of nuts.

Choya’s Extra Series (Extra Years, Extra Shiso, and Royal Honey, all at 17%abv) are key lines in its premium umeshu range for the duty free market.

Last year Choya undertook a packaging renewal to enhance the presence of its logo and fruit inside the bottle in store.

Also last year the company introduced Choya Yuzu, a premium umeshu that adds the juice of the yuzu, a Japanese citrus with a unique aroma and tartness.

Its 23% alcoholic content is good for use as a base in cocktails such as pitcher drinks, the brand said.

“We are strong in Asian duty free markets and gradually expanding to other regions,” commented Seiji Susuki, Senior Manager, who will be present at the Singapore show.
