Staying power: Clarins’ new Everlasting Foundation |
FRANCE. Clarins will next month introduce its new Everlasting Foundation SPF15, a long-lasting base that is said to offer stay-true colour and coverage for 15 hours.
The formula is claimed to incorporate a melting texture that delivers flawless, even coverage and amazing hold, in addition to an SPF15.
A key component is the High Fidelity System, an invisible microfilm formulated with new generation silicones, 100% natural and environmentally-friendly white clay and hectorite (also known as rhassoul, and widely used for its cosmetic benefits, particularly in North Africa).
According to Clarins, the silicones present in the High Fidelity System are highly compatible with skin’s hydrolipidic film, while rhassoul absorbs dampness and excess sebum. This ensures even foundation coverage and long-lasting hold.
In addition, a plant-based micro-patch delivers time-released hydration and constitutes a moisture reservoir, which helps skin look toned and feel comfortable.
In other news, this month Clarins is introducing three new face exfoliators, and a certified organic soap bar, called Gentle Beauty Soap.
The three exfoliators offer different textures, and are suitable for all skin types, including sensitive. The Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner is said to be as refreshing as water and very easy to apply. It is formulated with ultra-gentle fruit acids, which effectively break the intercellular links still joining partially detached surface cells and thus encourage their elimination.
The Gentle Peeling Smooth Away Cream with primrose extract is microbead-free but effectively absorbs dead cells and impurities, Clarins claims, before lifting them off like a “cosmetic eraser”.
Lastly, the Gentle Refiner Exfoliating Cream with Microbeads, featuring mimosa tenuiflora extract, is said to lift off dead cells and deep cleanse pores in a matter of seconds, leaving the skin clean, smooth, bright and even.
