Clinique’s latest weapon against hyperpigmentation |
Clinique has expanded its Even Better skin care franchise, created in 2008 to address growing consumer concerns about hyperpigmentation, with a new product: Even Better Skin Tone Correction Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF20. It was launched into travel retail worldwide (excluding Asia and Hawaii) in March, and is rolling out this month to Australia and New Zealand.
Developed specifically for combination and oily skin types, this new lightweight and oil-free formula is said to improve skin’s tone and uniformity over time. It is designed to combat dark spots and discoloration, while also providing protection from the number one cause of hyperpigmentation – UVA/UVB rays.
According to Clinique, Even Better Skin Tone Correction Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF20 prevents and reduces the appearance of excess pigment in skin; deters the surfacing of new spots; breaks up and scatters existing dark spots into less visible particles at the skin’s surface, leaving skin more even toned; and whisks away and removes melanin “dust” through exfoliation.
The moisturiser is also said to help strengthen the skin’s barrier against irritants, which helps to prevent the development of future discoloration. For even faster results, it should be partnered with Clinique’s Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector, and complemented by the brand’s Even Better Makeup SPF15 liquid foundation.
