SWITZERLAND. Luxury Swiss baker Tante Agathe has created a new selection of biscuits to tempt buyers at the TFWA World Exhibition in October.
Using traditional recipes from the Romand region of Switzerland, Tante Agathe makes high quality biscuits using only simple and natural ingredients, beautifully presented with a long shelf life. The company is already listed with travel retail outlets throughout France, Switzerland, Japan, South Korea, the Maldives and at London Heathrow airport.
At the Cannes show, Tante Agathe will launch the Pépites collection of fine cookies which were developed by chief confectioner Jean-Pierre Aeby at the bakery in Lonay during the quieter summer months. The range consists of:
* Les Pépites Chocolat Noir (pictured)- a crunchy cookie encrusted with tender black chocolate nuggets;
*Les Pépites Chocolat Domino – inlaid with black and white chocolate nuggets, these fine biscuits have the appearance of dominoes;
*Les Pépites Macadamia – made with gently grilled pieces of Australian Macadamia nuts, often known as the queen of nuts, these biscuits have a unique taste and texture.
Tante Agathe will be present in Cannes on stand D23, Yellow Village. Alongside the Pépites will be other temptations on show including Tante Agathe Coeurs de l’Oranger, Sablés and Couronnes Gourmandes.
Thierry Uldry said Tante Agathe had enjoyed remarkable success since the brand’s first appearance at Cannes last year. “In spite of the recent crisis in travel retail, which burned our fingers along with everyone else’s, the Tante Agathe bakery has seen a healthy increase in demand,” said Uldry.
“We are very excited to be launching our mouth-watering Pépites range in Cannes – they really are impossible to resist.”
