MALAYSIA. Choc Stop International at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, one of the world’s biggest chocolate shops, was chosen to host a promotion mounted by Nestlé International Travel Retail and Longines Watches.
For every MYR50 (US$13.2) purchase of Nestlé’s premium quality Cailler chocolates at the Choc Stop during the two-month promotion, the customer was entitled to a ticket for a fabulous prize draw. The winners would receive watches handmade by craftsmen at the prestigious Swiss watch company.
The promotion, which ran from December 2002 to February 2003, enticed hundreds of sweet-toothed connoisseurs to sample some of Switzerland’s finest chocolate.
The winner of the first draw on 15 January was Mr Kriangsak Taobamrung from Mung Samutsakorn in Thailand and Ms Ang Yew Loon from Selangor Darul Ehsan, Malaysia won the second draw on 17 February.
Nestlé International Travel Retail Sales Manager Connie Lim said: “The Cailler Longines Watch promotion has drawn customers like bees to a honey pot; we have seen sales of our premium Cailler brand at KLIA increase by 30% over the two months compared to the same period last year.”
