TAIWAN. EVERRICH Duty Free is reinforcing Taoyuan International Airport’s role as a gateway to Taiwanese culture through a year-round programme of cultural experiences designed to connect travellers with the island’s heritage, creativity and local communities.
As Taiwan’s leading travel retailer, EVERRICH has long embraced the concept of sense of place, leveraging the airport’s unique position as the nation’s primary international gateway to introduce millions of travellers to Taiwan’s stories, traditions and way of life.
Through cultural exhibitions, live performances and interactive experiences, the company has long sought to transform the airport journey into a meaningful cultural encounter.

That philosophy was exemplified by a recent tea culture-themed programme that brought Taiwan’s tea heritage to life through a series of immersive experiences.
These included traditional tea-serving rituals, Hakka tea theatre performances, tea tastings, hands-on workshops and the ‘Tea tê: One Cup, One Vessel’ exhibition.
Together, these activities offered travellers a deeper appreciation of Taiwan’s craftsmanship, hospitality traditions and everyday culture, EVERRICH Duty Free said.
Adding to the cultural atmosphere, the drum and brass ensemble from Jhong Jheng Elementary School in Kinmen staged a surprise performance (pictured below) at Taoyuan International Airport before travelling to the Czech Republic to participate in the Embassy Festival.

Featuring traditional instruments such as the suona, conch horn and percussion, the performance captivated international travellers while showcasing the richness and vitality of Taiwan’s folk arts, EVERRICH Duty Free observed.
For EVERRICH, airports are more than transportation hubs, the company said. “They are often a visitor’s first and last impression of a destination. By integrating local culture into the passenger journey, the company seeks to create memorable experiences that foster a stronger connection between travellers and Taiwan.”

Through ongoing collaborations with cultural organisations, local communities and creative partners, EVERRICH pledged to continue strengthening Taoyuan Airport’s sense of place, positioning the airport not only as a gateway for travel, but also as a platform for authentic Taiwanese cultural experiences and storytelling.
As international travel continues to recover, EVERRICH said it remains committed to enriching the passenger experience while showcasing the diversity and creativity of Taiwan to a global audience. ✈
{The Moodie Davitt Report partnered with EVERRICH Duty Free last year for an acclaimed dual film (above) and book project to celebrate the company’s landmark 30th anniversary (1995-2025).
The book (below) – produced in Chinese and English in digital and print format – chronicles the remarkable three-decade journey of one of the world’s top travel retailers.
More importantly perhaps, both projects reached deep into the EVERRICH DNA, examining how the company has carved out a unique reputation for championing and showcasing Taiwan’s artistic, cultural, commercial, environmental and intellectual capital.
The film was shot on location at Taoyuan International Airport by Moodie Davitt STUDIO, and written and presented by The Moodie Davitt Report Founder & Chairman Martin Moodie.}
