AVO Cigars has launched the AVO 88 2014 Limited Edition to mark the 88th birthday of its namesake, acclaimed musician Avo Uvezian, and his musical achievements.
With a limited production of 8,888 boxes worldwide, AVO 88 is a blend of five different Dominican filler tobaccos and a Yamasá wrapper in a Belicoso format.
The flavour progression is said to begin with nutty, sweet and woody notes, followed by dark coffee and pepper flavours. The cigar’s draw and burn is round and consistent, according to the brand.
The cigar box, with packaging that recalls a black grand piano, contains 16 Belicosos cigars, affixed with Avo’s seal and wrapped with parchment paper printed with 88 piano keys.
Initially launched in the USA on 20 March, AVO 88 will roll out in Europe next month.
