INDIA. The “˜Delhi Bazaar’ at the new Terminal 3 at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi will be “the most unique retail experience at any airport in the world”, according to Craft House India, the company running the operation.
President Monisha Gupta told The Moodie Report: “The concept of Delhi Bazaar at the world’s best terminal – T3 – opening soon at Delhi International Airport, shall truly justify and further enhance the tagline “˜Explore’ [the overarching retail brand introduced by Delhi International Airport Limited at its concessionaires’ conference last week -Ed].
“As the main India-centric profile retail offering, Delhi Bazaar at T3 shall excite and entice travel consumers to explore and enjoy the most unique retail experience at any airport in the world.
“A traditional Bazaar is the focal hub of the culture of the city and reflects the lifestyle of its residents. The emphasis of Craft House at Delhi Bazaar will be to expose and introduce the international travel consumer and re-acquaint the Indian travel consumer to experience a genuine Bazaar ambience in an evolved modern setting.”

Gupta said that Delhi Bazaar will “embody the eclectic essence of India”. Craft House plans to create an appealing design with a practical layout and a unique product mix with sufficient animation to enhance consumer interest.
“Our philosophy is to customize merchandise with no compromise on quality and price,” the company said.
The company’s lineage dates back 300 years when their ancestors traded in Delhi’s original bazaar – Chandni Chowk.
“With such a historic background and family values system, we are strongly convinced of our ability to create a unique Delhi Bazaar concept blending the traditional and contemporary India,” the company said.
