HONG KONG. Scental Travel Retail Asia Pacific has opened its first Giorgio Armani Beauty Boutique with DFS Group, in Asia Pacific travel retail.

The 31sq m outlet, located at the entrance of the beauty zone of the newly renovated DFS Galleria Sun Plaza, in Hong Kong’s luxury Tsim Sha Tsui shopping area, opened for business on 23 October.
The store is described as a “must-go destination” for all Chinese travellers seeking an unrivalled shopping experience.
According to Scental, DFS Sun Plaza was the ideal location to house only the second Giorgio Armani Beauty Boutique in Asia (the first was opened in 2008 at Hong Kong International Airport in partnership with Nuance-Watson), thanks to the fast-growing performance of the Armani brand in the Chinese market, and the increase of tourists from mainland China to Hong Kong.
Chinese travellers contribute 90% of Sun Plaza’s traffic, and represent a large proportion of high-spending cosmetics consumers.
As the first Giorgio Armani Beauty boutique in any DFS store worldwide, the door is claimed to perfectly express the brand’s values of timeless elegance, expertise in skincare and seduction within make-up.
It includes a skincare area where customers can experience the ultra-luxe Crema Nera; a free-access make-up wall and make-up stations, where twice a year a Dress Code for Face animation will run; and a fragrance bar.
Scental described the initial trading results as “very promising”.
