DFS spotlights Martell and Royal Salute in Singapore and Hong Kong

Pernod Ricard Asia Travel Retail has teamed up with DFS to launch dedicated brand spaces for Martell and Royal Salute in DFS Galleria Singapore and Hong Kong International Airport.

Both brands are being promoted at the DFS Galleria in downtown Singapore, where customers have the opportunity to select products and pick them up later at Changi Airport.

While the space is shared between Martell and Royal Salute, separate discovery areas give travellers the chance to explore each brand’s craftsmanship and heritage individually.

For Martell an olfactory bar enables shoppers to learn about each Cognac’s quality, while information touch screens showcase food pairings and refined dishes to accompany each Martell Cognac. The pinnacle of the Martell range, L’Or de Jean Martell, is displayed alongside the latest limited editions.

On the other side of the Galleria, an interactive screen invites shoppers to learn more about Royal Salute and to experience the global association the brand has with polo, dubbed by the brand as the “sport of kings”. The limited edition “˜Tribute To Honour’ bottle forms the centrepiece. Blended from whiskies aged for a minimum of 45 years, there are only 21 bottles of “˜Tribute To Honour’ in the world.

Pernod Ricard Asia Travel Retail Marketing Director John O’Sullivan commented: “The Martell and Royal Salute brand space in DFS Galleria Singapore is engaging, interactive and visually impactful, offering travellers a new way to shop in travel retail. We are delighted to work with DFS in this way to showcase two of our most premium brands, and we aim to continue to improve the way we exhibit our brands in travel retail in order to enhance the shopping experience.”

DFS Singapore General Manager Parker Gundersen added: “DFS is delighted to be partnering with Pernod Ricard in bringing yet another stimulating and interesting experience to our travelling customers in Singapore. Providing this experience downtown and making the product conveniently available for collection at Changi Airport on departure, adds to our customers journey.”

Royal Salute’s “˜Tribute To Honour’ forms the centerpiece of the showcase at Hong Kong International Airport’s T1 Departures area

At Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), Royal Salute is being showcased in the T1 Departures area, featuring a one-of-a-kind display of “˜Tribute To Honour’. Decorated with 22 carat black and white diamonds, it pays tribute to the Honours of Scotland; the crown, sceptre and sword of state.

Travellers will be able to experience a sensory tasting experience using an innovative vapour system, hailed by Pernod Ricard as a cutting-edge concept which harnesses the rich and intense flavours of the whisky and replaces the traditional product tasting. This latest advancement in atomiser cuisine sees Royal Salute transformed into a cloud of flavour, the company said, dispensing the alcohol but retaining the defining characters of the blended whiskies.

In addition, interactive touch screens allow travellers to learn more about Royal Salute’s products and brand history as well as experience a complimentary gift service.

Pernod Ricard Asia Travel Retail Senior Brand Manager Kyung Min said: “We are delighted to invite travellers from around the world to Royal Salute’s exclusive brand space in Hong Kong International Airport. Not only does the premium design highlight the true prestige of the brand with visually impactful features, the space also incorporates interactive elements to provide new levels of retail service which suit the discerning shoppers’ needs.”

DFS HKIA General Manager Devin Pun added: “DFS is excited to be working with Pernod Ricard on this Royal Salute innovative new concept which brings an interesting and educational experience to passengers at Hong Kong International Airport.”
