French fragrance house Diptyque has reimagined its signature scented candle range for 2026. The redesign features a new visual aesthetic with sustainability-led innovation and an expanded olfactory offering. It is rolling out across Diptyque’s travel retail network.
The revamp centres on the Maison’s classic candle, introduced in 1963, which has been reworked with a new look and enhanced environmental credentials while preserving its recognisable identity.
Diptyque enlisted French/Swiss Designer Julie Richoz to reimagine the glass jar. The new design features refined contours and an oval ridge framing the label. The black-and-white oval label has also been updated whilst retaining its heritage typography.

Production remains rooted in France. The candles are manufactured across two sites using an eight-stage process with special focus on the balance between wax composition, fragrance concentration and wick structure.
From autumn 2026, ten core fragrances will be available as refills. The refills are the result of a three-year development process and are supported by packaging made from bio-sourced, recyclable paperfoam.
Retaining the glass jars and replacing the wax candle with a refill can reduce the product’s carbon footprint by -24% compared with buying two full candles, Diptyque said.
In addition, Diptyque has unveiled five new scents created in collaboration with perfumers Alexandra Carlin and Olivia Giacobetti: Café, Ortie, Sésame Noir, Rhubarbe and Shiso. The first four fragrances are now available in global travel retail, while Shiso is a boutique exclusive.

Café offers roasted coffee bean notes with warm, woody facets, while Ortie centres on green, vegetal accords. Sésame Noir combines roasted sesame tones with a woody base, while Rhubarbe is a balance of fruity acidity and green vegetal elements.
Shiso introduces an aromatic profile blending herbal notes with light and spicy almond.
The new scents draw on natural inspirations and broaden the brand’s ‘herbarium of scents’, which now comprises more than 50 fragrances.
The relaunch is further supported by a new range of decorative accessories, including candle holders, lids and stands crafted from borosilicate glass and biscuit porcelain. ✈
