UAE. The team of Jamie and Emma Rooms has been crowned net champions of the Dubai Duty Free Greensomes Strokeplay tournament held at Dubai’s Arabian Ranches Golf Club on 4 April.
The event attracted a field of 24 teams for a total of 48 participants. In this format both players tee off, the best positioned ball is selected and alternative shots are played from there until the ball is holed out. Each team received 3/8 of their combined handicaps as the allowance over the desert-styled links course. Men played from the blue tees at 6,700 yards and ladies from the red tees at 5,500 yards.
