Dubai Duty Free names its second Double Millionaire

UAE. Dubai Duty Free has created its second ever Double Millionaire, with a Lebanese national scooping the US$2 million top prize in one of the retailer’s most highly sought after promotional draws.

Ara Keusseyan, who previously won a major Dubai Duty Free competition 17 years ago (for a BMW 850 Ci in Series 253), was named the winner after the draw at Dubai International Airport today (Tuesday). He is a regular participant in Dubai Duty Free’s prize draws.

Keusseyan, who owns an auto supply business in Dubai, said: “I am still proudly driving my winning car and thankful to Dubai Duty Free for such an amazing prize but winning US$2 million is just truly a great surprise.”

Dubai Duty Free Managing Director Colm McLoughlin said: “We are delighted to have announced the second winner of the Double Millionaire Promotion and we anticipate that it will be equally popular as the Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise promotions.”

Following the Double Millionaire draw three more winners were announced today in the Finest Surprise promotion, each one winning a luxury vehicle.

Mr. Dalzar Rasheed Hussein, an Iraqi national based in Erbil won a black BMW 750 Li in Series 1428 with ticket number 0032. He bought his lucky ticket when he travelled from China to Iraq, where he owns a trading company. “I’m thrilled to win such a beautiful car,” he said. “This is my fourth ticket for a BMW and I still cannot believe that I finally won it.”

The second winner was Mr. Ankit Gundecha, a seventeen year old Indian national and a student of Delhi Private School in Sharjah, whose ticket number 0442 made him the owner of a red Porsche 911 Carrera. “My family and I always buy tickets in Dubai Duty Free’s promotions when we travel. I never lose hope to win a prize and am thankful to Dubai Duty Free for making this happen,” he said.

Finally, Mr Nabil Hijjawi, a Canadian national based in Amman, Jordan won a Harley Davidson FLSTF – Fat Boy. Hijjawi won his motorbike in Series 167 with ticket number 0707.

Previous winners of the Finest Surprise Promotion were also present at the presentation ceremony, which took place immediately after the draw.

Mr. Valery Strygin, a thirty-four year old Russian national who works as a Promotion Manager at Philip Morris International, flew in from Moscow to Dubai to receive his new BMW X6 50i Sport, which he won in Series 1427. “It was my first ever visit to Dubai when I purchased my lucky ticket. I was excited to shop in Dubai Duty Free on the way back and to my great delight won my dream car,” he said.

Mr. Mohamedali Moosa, an Indian national based in Saudi Arabia, received the keys for the latest model of a Mercedes Benz S500, which he won in Series 1426. And Mr. Mohan Naidu, winner of a Harley Davidson FLSTFB – Fat Boy Special in Series 166, joined the group of winners to receive their prizes and witness the Double Millionaire and Finest Surprise Draws.

The draw and presentation of winners were conducted by Dubai Duty Free officials headed by Colm McLoughlin, Managing Director, George Horan, Deputy Managing Director, Ramesh Cidambi, Director – IT & Logistics, Sinead El Sibai, Manager-Events, Advertising & Media Relations, Nic Bruwer, Manager – Human Resources and Michael Schmidt, Manager – Operations.
