Dublin Airport Authority calls London meeting to discuss T2 commercial opportunities – 15/04/09

IRELAND. Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) today issued a formal invitation through The Moodie Report to parties interested in a range of retail opportunities at Dublin Airport’s new Terminal 2, due to open in 2010.

The event will be held at the Mayfair Radisson Edwardian Hotel in London on 23 April between 4pm and 7pm.

DAA described T2 as “one of the most significant retail opportunities in Ireland”.

Retail Strategy Director Mark Banchansky said T2 had “the sensuous cocktail of the convenience of a mall and the allure of a department store”. He said that some 9,000sq m of retail and food & beverage space will be available, embracing units ranging from 20sq m to 1,000sq m.

The opportunities exclude the core duty free retail operation, which will be run in-house by DAA.

Mark Banchansky and DAA Director-Retail Paul Neeson will deliver a three-part presentation, giving an introduction to the airport followed by a discussion of the retail opportunities and the introduction of DAA’s new retail brand.

Further information sessions will be organised after tender documents have been issued. Anyone interested in attending should contact Mark Banchansky at mark.banchansky@daa.ie or Helen Sweeney at helen.sweeney@daa.ie
