Dufry renews duty free contract at Phnom Penh and Siem Reap till 2020

CAMBODIA. Cambodia Airports and Dufry today formally renewed their partnership with the signing of a new contract running until 2020 for the operation of duty free stores at Phnom Penh and Siem Reap international airports.

As part of the agreement following a tender process, Dufry will manage an additional 1,670sq m of retail space across both airports, an increase of over +100%.

Dufry currently operates two duty free shops at Phnom Penh with a total area of 773sq m of retail space. The expansion of the commercial area at Arrivals and Departures will double retail space to 1,550sq m.

At Siem Reap, where the retailer operates two duty free shops spanning 571sq m, retail space at Arrivals and Departures will be almost tripled to 1,464sq m.

The expansion and refurbishment will create a walk-through concept with a design inspired by Cambodian architectural elements, further enhancing the shopping experience for passengers, Cambodia Airports said. “More space also means a wider range of products on offer, including international brands for perfume, cosmetics and fashion accessories,” it noted.
