Dutch Barn vodka makes exclusive airport debut with Lagardère Travel Retail at Luton

‘No duty today except drinking’ – the neat tagline from Dutch Barn Vodka features alongside an image of renowned English comedian and actor Ricky Gervais, who became a co-owner of brandowner Ellers Farm Distillery in late 2023

UK. Dutch Barn vodka has teamed up with Lagardère Travel Retail UK & Ireland for its exclusive airport debut at London Luton, rolling out its one-litre Orchard, Black Cherry and Vanilla range on 18 March.

Owned by Ellers Farm Distillery, the Yorkshire-born brand, made from local apples, has built on a strong year, recording triple-digit growth in the UK premium spirits market ahead of its airport launch.

The range is currently available for sampling and purchase at Lagardère’s Duty Free Discovery for four weeks, supported by trade communications, terminal OOH placements and social media activity to build brand awareness.

Retailing at £35 (US$46) each or £55 (US$73) for two, the one-litre bottles are presented in a bespoke twin-pack carrier designed to help travellers maximise the value offer.

Ellers Farm Distillery Head of International & GTR Dale Perry said: “2025 was the year Dutch Barn really broke through with UK consumers, so stepping into air travel retail now feels natural.

“Being able to showcase our first one-litre range at Luton, through a retailer that understands storytelling and premium spirit, is a huge moment for the brand.”

{“And the best thing is, it will make me hundreds of millions. So please buy it.” Only Ricky Gervais could come up with such a pitch to announce his becoming a Co-Owner of Ellers Farm Distillery}

The London Luton Airport listing also reflects the brand’s travel retail success over the past 18 months in partnership with FreeWorld Brands, Ellers Farm Distillery said.

‘Seriously smooth, not for the serious’ – Dutch Barn vodka is made from (serious) Yorkshire apples

FreeWorld Brands General Manager Sean McNaughten said: “We have had some successful listings on cruise lines and ferries in the last 12 months so it is great to now be moving into airport duty free with this fast-growing brand – Dutch Barn is really a brand that can travel.”

Lagardère Travel Retail UK & Ireland Alcohol Buyer Stephen Farrell added: “We’re delighted to partner with Dutch Barn Vodka to launch the brand at London Luton Airport, marking its debut in airport retail.

“Together, we have developed a compelling and competitive duty-free offer, with attractive pricing and a strong multi-buy proposition tailored to the travel retail shopper.

Bold packaging and flavour-led variants make the brand a standout in airport duty free, where sampling will be key to conversion

“Across the wider alcohol category, we continue to see shifts in consumer behaviour, particularly a growing appetite for premium and craft spirits. Dutch Barn Vodka aligns perfectly with this trend, offering travellers a high-quality, sustainably produced product that stands out on shelf.

“We’re excited to introduce the brand to our passengers and look forward to seeing how it performs within our evolving spirits portfolio.”
