EDA Australasia targets travel retail with new appointments

AUSTRALIA. POS and retail merchandising company EDA Australasia has announced key appointments as it pursues expansion into Asia-Pacific travel retail markets.

Rosemary Chegwyn joins EDA as Head of Sales and Marketing. She previously spent over eight years as Asia Pacific Travel Retail Manager at Procter & Gamble, managing a team of seven staff and over 100 beauty advisors.

In her new role, Chegwyn is responsible for leading a team of eight business development and sales team members, with the goals of expanding into the Asia region and building on company expertise by introducing the new travel retail arm to the business.

Chegwyn is joined by experienced sales consultants Melissa Kay, who has taken on the role of Regional Business Development Manager, Australasia, and Gary Parsons and Paul Lynch as Business Development Managers.

Kay was previously National Sales Manager in travel retail for Clarins, and GM for Trimex, where she was responsible for 60 brands for travel retail. For EDA she will manage the prestige category, working with clients predominantly in the travel retail channel, with a focus on cosmetics, fragrances and liquor.

On 30 October it also announced a strategic partnership with leading retail marketing company DCi-Artform.

“Our global brands can now enjoy the hands-on approach and quality that EDA is renowned for, combined with the international scale and global insights of DCi-Artform,” said John Atwill, Managing Director, EDA Australasia.
